As an IT Administrator, you'll be expected to provide great customer service to your stakeholders. This position will report to the IT manager and will be supporting our team in the LA area. The ideal candidate has excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They will be expected to analyze problems and work independently, seeking support when needed. This will be a hybrid position supporting from home and various LA bus yards.
What to expect:
- Performs detailed requirements analysis, documents business processes, and performs systems testing. To excel in this role, you should have an analytical way of thinking and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness.
- Interface with internal business clients to assist in resolving technical issues
- The Administrator will be responsible for daily monitoring system consoles for error indicators, error messages, failures, and peripheral malfunctions and making the following decisions:
- Problem diagnostics and resolution – troubleshoot, research, and resolve issues incidents reported by end users
- Security and patch management – make decisions on when to apply patches to remediate vulnerabilities
- Contribute to ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
- Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements– verbally or through written documentation – to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Monitor, validate, and troubleshoot core processing systems, enterprise system software applications, networks and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance.
What you'll need:
- Extensive knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and Chrome OS
- Systems management – make decisions on when to conduct application upgrades and data refreshes
- Highly desirable knowledge Google Workspace, Meraki Networks, and Hexnode MDM
- Knowledge of Android and iOS mobile devices
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and principles
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Project management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
