Intro

The Data and Analytics Product Team provides customers with a powerful security data platform that enables real-time access to data, discovery of critical insights, automation of key workflows, and improved cloud security. We lead product strategy and product management across analytics and reporting, tools to enable monitoring, troubleshooting and incident management, Data Connectivity APIs, and the machine learning / data science layers we use to analyze patterns, identify unknowns, make predictions and proactively improve security for our customers.

About This Role

To be successful in this role you must possess a combination of strong business acumen and technical skills as well as have a passion for network security, data, cloud architectures, and a deep understanding of the enterprise security and compliance market. In this role, you’ll be responsible for working closely with Netskope customers and the field to better understand our products and roadmap, ensure POCs are easy to set up and demonstrate high value, and new customers are successfully operationalizing Netskope. You will also play a key role in understanding customer’s questions and concerns, creating scalable methods of ensuring Netskope existing value propositions and technical details are communicated effectively. Furthermore, you will be responsible for consolidating, clearly communicating, and helping to prioritize feature requests. Finally, it is expected that you will be able to take ownership of high priority features and bugs for strategic customers, communicate clear responses to customers and ensure the highest priorities issues are addressed as quickly as is feasible.

You have a successful track record as a senior or principal product manager, working closely with Engineering and the Field, and clearly communicate business goals and product requirements in technical terms and well defined and articulated product requirement documents.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deep, hands-on, understanding of security operations and security data.
• Develop deep and trusted relationships with key customers, partners, engineering leads, peer product managers and other key stakeholders,
• Manage roadmaps, make key tradeoff decisions on what to build and what not to build. Communicate the value and trade-offs of the product decisions made.
• Ensure that Netskope existing capabilities and strengths are clearly articulated and efficiently and scalably delivered for the field and for customers (e.g. documentation, RFI/RFPs)
• Increase the win rate for new business by addressing key questions and issues, and updating customer facing documentation and tools.
• Increase product retention by increasing customer engagement, continually focusing on improving our data products and helping customers get maximum value.
• Create product training materials, such as videos, blogs, review documentations to communicate customer value.
• Drive results - Attack everything with drive and energy with an eye on both the bottom line and customer success.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Product management experience, ideally in security or data products.
• Exposure to SaaS applications, DLP, IaaS/PaaS, and network security is a big plus.
• Experience with Rest APIs and Data Streaming is required.
• Experience with data cleansing, data dictionary/data catalog is required.
• Experience with SQL, BI Tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau and data warehouse technologies such as Big Query, Redshift or Snowflake is desirable.
• Proven ability to work with a cross-functional team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions and low-level technical discussions.
• Experience representing the customer; Experience being the champion and voice of customers by building impactful, personal relationships with customers, engineering teams, and the field, in addition to bringing the customer’s voice into the creation process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (technical disciplines preferred) required, Master’s degree/MBA strongly preferred.
