Social Media Marketing Intern

Contendr is a Web3 fantasy sports platform aiming to completely transform the seasonal fantasy sports industry. The platform is built to provide countless opportunities for fantasy consumers to earn more while playing less. To achieve this, we've built a seamless ecosystem where users get to earn more from staked prize pools, multi-asset prize pools, buying and selling fantasy teams as NFTs, anti-lineups, and so much more. We aim to mesh the best of Web2 fantasy sports with invigorating Web3 layers that bring out the best of seasonal dynasty gameplay.

Our long-term vision outlines a digital revolving door for consumers to own more fantasy teams, spend less time, earn more, and convert a fantasy sports hobby into a profitable side-hustle.

Description

Contendr is seeking driven, enthusiastic interns who are passionate about Web3 and Sports. The Digital Marketing/Content Creation Internship will be a 3-month, part-time position. This is an opportunity to gain experience in digital marketing, social media marketing, and content creation in a fast-paced, growing environment. The role offers extensive opportunities to be a part of the growth and development of Contendr while conversing directly with a hyper-niche innovator. The role will be a crucial member of the Contendr team under the direct supervision of the CEO, and with frequent contact with other management teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist to develop and refine company branding and digital marketing strategy
• Research competitors, industry, and trends as well as brainstorm creative concepts
• Help to create content related to branding and digital marketing, including visual content and posts/blogs
• Support sourcing and publishing social media content across channels
• Contribute to community growth and management

Requirements

• Sports lover with fantasy sports experience preferred
• Strong interest and deep understanding of Web3 and NFTs preferred
• Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media
• Proficient in content marketing theory and application
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of leveraging social media platforms (Twitter and TikTok)
• Experience in content development and publishing
• Knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research, and proficient in and/or certified in Google Analytics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written, audio, and video format
• Limited Graphic Design skills - (experience with Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, etc.)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and collaborate within a startup environment

• This is a fully remote position, and while we are looking to grow our team in the Detroit/Chicago area, we are open to candidates who reside anywhere in the United States (US-based candidates only).
• This is a non-paid position, but we can offer college credits if needed
• Opportunity to roll over into equity-based Creative Director or Social Media Marketing Manager post-internship depends on performance and dedication during the internship period.
