We are looking for a technical co-founder to finalise our core team.

❓ What the hell is Brian?

Brian is a b2b social learning platform for universities.

With our software solution, students improve their studies, teachers gain insights into the learning process, and universities track learning- and program goals for quality assurance and accreditation processes.

We enable this by creating a data-driven, engaging learning environment on students’ smartphones. This generates insightful real-time data allowing us to optimize the learning outcome individually and provide an outstanding representation of the learning process for faculty and university with unparalleled precision and required effort.

❓ What is Brian doing all day long?

Brian’s platform is actively used at the University of St. Gallen and the University of Applied Sciences Zurich. We have recorded over 10 million student responses, received an NPS of 77, and won the people’s award at Reimagine Education 2021. We are still an early-stage startup with the aspiration to become an international tech company.

We use Flutter for our native app development, Django, Docker and HTML for our backend and web components (REST API, admin interface, etc). We are open to changing our tech stack, but it would have to be a gradual process, so you would also need to have some experience in this area.

We now focus on everything that allows us to grow sustainably without servers, manual work or anything else blowing up.

❓ Why do we need you?

The current team consists of Ralph Forsbach (CEO), Rubén Frank (CTO). We have succeeded in shaping an exciting product and gaining traction but lack expertise in building a scalable data architecture and harvesting our data using AI. That’s why we are looking for an experienced engineer to join our team. We value a good foundation more than concrete skills and shared values and vision over knowledge. We have to get along personally to steer this startup as partners.

❓ What can you bring to the table?

As a holder of a critical position in Brian, we want you to have:

• at least one system programming language mastered
• several years of practical work experience
• incredible enthusiasm
• brutally fast and smart solution-oriented mindset
• ability to work independently with open eyes for problems and drive for user-centered solutions
• great humor and to be fun to work with
