SR. WORDPRESS DEVELOPER

As a Sr. Wordpress Developer at Klatch, you’ll be on the frontlines to help lead a fast growing, early-stage funded startup to launch and scale nationally. You’ll work closely with a seasoned founder & CEO and team to help manage and execute on almost every aspect of the company. You should have extensive experience (multiple years) as a Wordpress Developer in frontend and backend development with extensive capability in Object Oriented Programming in Wordpress and extending Wordpress plugins. You should also have an understanding of server deployment load balancing, code scaling, and scrum / agile project management. You will take and run software development from concept to execution and should be a talented programmer, have incredible attention to detail, be able to manage up, and keep the team on task.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Expert level Full StackWordpress experience, 4+ years.
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming and extending WP plugins.
• Experience building many complex websites, WP custom code.
• Experienced in CSS, CSS3, HTML5, BootStrap and ability to build decent designs.
• PHP & SQL experience, database structuring
• Experience with using source control (e.g. Git) & basic devops
• Basic ability to check your code (quality assurance) & high attention to detail a must
• Experience with project management tools & tactics a plus to keep team on track a plus (e.g. Asana / Trello / Basecamp; scrum / agile methodology, etc)
• Ability to move quickly and be highly adaptable on priorities
• Ability to self-manage and manage up and across in an organization
• Best practice coding documentation practices

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

As a Sr. Wordpress Developer you will be entrusted with an incredible amount of responsibility on company-critical initiatives. You will be responsible for overseeing all software development. You will work closely with our CEO and our small team to build, iterate, and successively launch versions of our platform. This includes extensive software development, product design, quality assurance, testing, deployment, and customer research. Most of your time will be spent in the code base working your magic but this role provides a host of other responsibilities and you will be a key decision maker in a small team. You will help keep the team on track and organize the priorities and visual timelines identifying resource allocation challenges. In this role you will get to do a bit of just about everything on the front lines of adult education!

COMPENSATION:

Meaningful Equity + $70-100k Salary based on professional experience, capability, & equity allocation. Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and disability.
