Summary
Limber is a mission driven health technology startup building the future of assistive mobility, backed by Serena Williams. We’re looking for a Physical Therapist to shape the development of our smart devices and engage people with mobility impairments in their design. This is a per diem or part-time role based in the Bay Area (US), which could lead to a full-time position.

Our devices have sensors embedded inside that monitor their user’s movement and gait. Our analytics enable remote monitoring, coaching, and data-driven physical therapy. We are looking for a Physical Therapist with an entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for technology and an interest in research. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical expertise to shape product development
- Identifying opportunities to optimize the smart functionality of our smart assistive mobility devices
- Collaborating with the data science team to ensure the clinical efficacy of our products
- Collecting data from people with impaired mobility to train machine learning algorithms
- Assisting people to walk with our smart devices and carry out a range of prescribed activities
- Ensuring our data collection volunteers have a safe and enjoyable experience
- Visiting our data collection sites and engaging data collection volunteers
- Ensuring the quality of data collected meets high standards
About you
- DPT degree in Physical Therapy
- Licensed in the state of California
- Organized, detail-oriented and efficient in time management
- Able to work independently and coordinate work with colleagues and peers
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive to data collection sites
- Able to learn and effectively use a variety of clinical and non-clinical software applications
- Experience designing and conducting independent and/or collaborative research preferred
- Capable of working in a fast-paced start-up environment where change and multitasking are routine
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
