Role Overview
At Tangible Teleportation Co (https://tangible.team), we are building an immersive reality call that lets you physically hug & hold your loved ones across the world. Our mission is to help distance-separated families overcome the feeling of social isolation.

We are a Stanford-founded seed-stage startup looking to bring on an ambitious and entrepreneurial Head of Software / CTO to take ownership of our Teleportation Kit’s technical vision, and scale it from its current state (successfully launched MVP) to a polished, ready-to-scale product that will positively impact tens of thousands of families.

Our hope is that you will join us for a well-paid 1-2 month “test drive” period to evaluate if working with us will be a “dream job” for you. You will have the opportunity to work on a “first project” of developing meaningful product features with Team Tangible. During this test-drive period, you will manage our team of software engineers (both in-house and contract developers) as we implement and debug our Teleportation Kit app’s newest features, write some code yourself, and manage our firmware engineering team.

Compensation
You will have the choice to be compensated as a founding team member (larger equity package, with “founder salary” & benefits) or as an C-suite engineer (competitive salary & benefits, with employee equity). Salary will increase over time with company progress / growth.

Necessary qualifications:

• Background in Computer Science
• Experience developing & deploying mobile apps (React Native experience is a plus!)
• Experience with developing AR/VR/XR experiences, or a passion for designing human-computer interfaces (that value humans over computers!)

Nice-to-haves:

• Familiarity with mobile software architectures
• Experience leading and/or founding software projects, especially mobile apps
• Experience with sensors, firmware, and wireless connectivity (Bluetooth)
• Experience with consumer-facing products / entrepreneurship
• Experience managing / working closely with engineering teams & developers

More about us:
Founded in February 2020, we are a venture-backed company funded by Stanford & GoogleX investors. We have been in exclusive beta since October 2020 and are publicly launching this summer.

We are a remote-first/hybrid company with physical roots in the Bay Area (where we’ve been manufacturing our initial batches). We’re currently a core team of 6, with about a dozen advisors, fashion designers, and consultants who work closely with us.
