The Role

Title: Account Manager
Department: Account Management

Location: Remote, work from anywhere
Salary: $80-95k including base + commission. Company stock options included

Job Summary:
This position will be the main customer point of contact working directly with some of the most iconic Fortune 500 brands. You will be responsible for representing the Recess brand, product, and ensuring the highest level of customer service to each of our customers so that they have the best possible experience that keeps them coming back. In this role, you will help advise the sales team on programs to execute and once a program has been sold in you will work alongside our Account Coordinator team to execute their campaigns utilizing the Recess platform for product sampling and event sponsorship programs ensuring that we have proper measurement to evaluate the success of the program and to include in your report in the campaign recap. To be successful in this role you’ll need to incredibly organized and detailed oriented, and work to establish longstanding relationships with your accounts and be able to direct them to the best programs by becoming an expert in our business, our product, and understanding our customer pain points and how they measure success. This is a critical role and you will have the opportunity to directly impact the growth of the company by ensuring a high level of execution that helps to retain and grow our growing list of customers. This position does have a growth plan that could lead to a sales role if that is of interest.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact for planning and execution
  • Help to onboard a customer including hosting kick-off calls, creating tracking documents, and coordinating with our internal teams to align on program execution
  • Strategizing, planning, and making recommendations to clients utilizing the Recess platform on partnerships that can be executed
  • Creating and maintaining client-facing documents for tracking statuses, approvals, and timelines
  • Work with a dedicated team of Account Coordinators to ensure smooth execution of your customer’s programs including coordinating product shipments & on-site activations with the event & venue partners
  • Problem-solve when issues arise and communicate with customers to find best-in-class solutions
  • Host client debriefs to understand the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for future events to drive sales
  • Monitor client spending and ensure that they are meeting their contractual obligations
  • Create post-campaign recaps and present to the Client with KPIs, learnings, and recommendations
  • Work to recommend programs or partnerships to meet the client's needs and objectives

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail, organized and driven
  • Excellent at developing client relationships
  • Ability to make strong sales and program recommendations based on client goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace changes
  • Exceptional professional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft/Excel, Google Sheets - with the ability to create, maintain documents, and write basic formulas (SUMIF, COUNTIF, etc)
  • Ability to create recap decks using Google presentations
  • Passionate about improving our user experience and relations
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Team player that has a can-do-anything mentality

Education/Experience:

  • At least 3-4 years of previous experience in a similar position in account management or as a project manager in an experiential agency, sampling agency, coupon redemption, events/venues, or other similar role
  • Previous experience working with and coordinating event sponsorships and/or sampling programs
