About the role
We're looking for a CTO motivated to build the next revolution in the creator economy. We are looking for someone who understands the fun & challenges that come with startup journeys and wants to be a part of a promising ride to become one of India’s leading forces reaching millions of people. The Tech Lead position will be an integral part of the leadership team. We want your feedback and ideas, and will give flexibility in executing them. The winning candidate will be an entrepreneurial leader who is proactive and can take ownership of the situation.
With this being said, it is just impossible to provide an exhaustive list of your responsibilities, but here are the most important ones:
-Build a strong and reliable team of engineers, inspire them, and create a robust engineering culture within the organization
-Ensure scalability & robustness of our product (an Android app) to ensure that we can engage with millions
-Align business needs and strategy to technology vision and requirements
-Deliver quality on time, and within budget
-Collaborate & work with various stakeholders to develop a long-term product plan, and manage the release sprint & release cycles
-Overlook system design and changes in system architecture
-Drive thought leadership, innovation, and engineering outlook
Must have:
-Comfortable and experienced in designing user-friendly and user-centered applications
-Full-stack software engineering experience, familiar with React Native, AWS, and other development frameworks
-Experiences in AI, machine learning, and data analytics applications
-Ready to take challenging problems and take them to conclusion
-Demonstrated strong leadership and passion for EdTech
-Entrepreneurial spirit and problem-solving skills (in short, adept in ‘Jugaad’)
-Knowledge of technological trends to build a strategy
Good to have:
-A degree in software engineering/computer science from a renowned university
-Previous leadership roles with tech startups, especially in building early products from scratch
-Have built and launched products used by 100K+ people
-High level of ownership & can work independently. A company succeeds because the team makes it happen. If you don't, it won’t happen
-Bias for action. Execute fast, test and iterate.
-Strong work ethics. Diligence and dedication are paramount as we’re creating things from scratch.
