Senior Corporate Accountant

The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the day to day accounting operations including financial audits, month end close, technical accounting, general ledger, accounts payable and sales taxes. The skills required to succeed in this role include strong accounting and communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

You will

• Responsible for Accounts Payable, including set up and maintenance of Purchase Orders and Invoicing
• Manage payments through Bill.com and vendor sites
• Setup of wires from bank
• Own the sales tax process with external tax group
• Set up and maintenance of tax calendar
• Preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various accounts - monthly, quarterly, annual
• Own monthly accrual process
• Maintain intercompany entries, including elimination and consolidation
• Perform monthly and quarterly close activities
• Ensure integrity of financial records and prepare for annual financial audits including preparation of various audit schedules
• Responsible for maintaining internal controls and integrity of all balance sheet accounts
• Play an active role in process improvement projects including implementation of enhancements to our ERP systems and processes
• Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for accounting policies and regulations
• Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes
• Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned

You have

• Senior level Accounting and Finance experience (Experience in a small SaaS company is a huge plus)
• Start-up and real estate experience strongly preferred
• Experience with relevant cloud-based software on small and medium enterprises (e.g., NetSuite, Bill.com, etc.)
