Sage Corps is an international internship program that sends top university students to work with entrepreneurs at startups worldwide. Host startups are typically affiliated with a local business accelerator, incubator, early stage fund, or co-working space with whom Sage Corps partners.
Sage Corps currently operates programs in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Chicago, Dublin, Paris, and Sydney. In addition to the work experience, Fellows also attend networking events, investor pitches/demo days, tech conferences, and roundtable discussions held at bigger companies.
Part-Time Startup Scout Role:
Are you part of your local startup ecosystem in Dublin? Do you want to join an impactful global community of top university students, startups, and business leaders who are passionate about entrepreneurship?
Sage Corps is seeking part-time startup scouts on a contract basis who can contact and recruit startups in Dublin
This contractor position will require approximately 5 hours of work per week.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as liaison between Sage Corps and local host incubators/accelerators, host startups, and local professional contacts in the startup ecosystem (entrepreneurs, angel and VC investors, influencers/connectors, corporations) where Sage Corps runs programs and help us establish better relationships
- Identify and contact local early-stage startups in our program cities
- Send information about our program to these early-stage startups with the goal of having the startup register to host a summer intern from our program
- Help pitch our students for specific internship roles at the startups
Requirements:
- At least two years of post-university work experience
- Strong knowledge of/experience in local startup ecosystem
- Strong network of entrepreneurs at startups in one or more of our program city locations
- Enjoys working with and mentoring university students
- Strong sales/business development/community management skills
- Enthusiastic, outgoing
- Strong organizational skills
Compensation:
Assuming 5 hours of work/week, we pay a monthly stipend of $600 USD and a bonus based on the number of startups ($500 USD for every 10 startups) that you get to register to host an intern AND actually host a student as part of our program
