Instructional Designer-Develop Case Studies for Social Work (Remote)

The CapSource team is looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to develop a case study curriculum for social work education and training.

CapSource maintains a significant customer base of 150+ universities and 500+ industry partners around the globe, having served over 10,000 students. The focus of our model is to help universities integrate real companies into the education process through mentoring and project-based collaborations in order to better prepare students for the professional work environment upon graduation. CapSource makes this all possible through the use of their custom built "Experiential Learning - and Hiring - Management System," which is made available to customers through LITE and Enterprise versions.

We recently have expanded into social work programs and need help aligning static case content with curricular teaching goals.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Use models of instructional design (e.g. ADDIE) and experiential learning for adult learners to design and develop multi-disciplinary case studies and corresponding assessments for social work education and training.
• Conduct secondary research and virtual interviews with academic partners and subject matter experts (SME’s) and conduct secondary research.
• Design and develop content, learning activities, and assessments in a way that supports the learners development of skills and competencies.
• Participate in team meetings. Collaborate with/support Product Team in the development of software and to ensure alignment.
• Digital tools: Asana, Slack, Google Docs, Google Sheets, PDF, and Google Slides.

Other Qualifications:

• Ability to work remotely and meet virtually directly with customers and colleagues.
• Work experience in post-secondary curriculum development.
• Strong research, writing and speaking skills with excellent ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to facilitate effective group communication.
• Ability to conduct interviews and document accurate, detailed notes.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks while working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Required:

• Hands-on experience using models of instructional design to produce teaching and learning content used by learners and educators in an educational setting.
• Direct experience in the analysis, design, and development processes of instructional design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Social Work or related fields.

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child/Family Studies, Social Psychology, Criminology, related fields.
• Experience researching, writing, using case studies for education and training.
• Teaching experience in higher education.
• Experience working with Canva and Wordpress. *
