Who We Are
Blitz is a data-driven coaching tool for gamers. Combining computer vision, AI, and expert knowledge, we inform users with statistical insight about the current state of the game, personal progression and provide real-time analysis and scouting of enemy teams. Our core product (blitz.gg) supports popular competitive esports games: League of Legends, Valorant, TFT, Legends of Runeterra, CS:GO, and Fortnite.
Overview
The Blitz team is seeking an experienced Game Learning Designer to help us build and scale the learning and coaching offerings of our platform. Reporting to the Director of Design, you will work with key cross functional stake-holders across product, design, and engineering to design new features for Blitz on coaching and helping players improve their skills.
*Responsibilities *
- Apply holistic e-learning and game design processes and frameworks to create engaging gamified learning experiences for our customers
- Contribute to success metrics for business growth including increased engagement and DAU with release of coaching feature sets across multiple game titles
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into useful and valuable product solutions
- Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of the Blitz Coaching offering
- Design end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple, elegant, and impactful for our supported platforms
- Collaborate with product and design teams to propose solutions to coaching and helping players improve their skills in games, and create appropriate level design artifacts for testing and user feedback
- Design learning frameworks, systems, and quests that can be easily leveraged across multiple game teams and used by other designers to scale efficiently
- Work within and contribute to evolving our coaching and learning design system
- Proactively solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship
- Present design work to key stakeholders to achieve buy-in and ensure alignment with a coherent and quality learning experience vision
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in designing and shipping applications, games, or software at the level of whole features/products that encompass an end-to-end experience
- A deep understanding of how people learn and proven record of designing learning systems that result in measurable learning progress
- Game Design, Learning Design, and Interaction Design skills defining how an experience should behave based on understanding player needs, plus consideration of how this innovation will scale.
- Mockup or prototyping skills to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work
- Strategy articulation and experience representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts
- Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in E-learning, gaming or a passion for gaming and esports
- Experience shipping applications across desktop apps, web, and/or mobile platforms
- Experience connecting your work with other cross-product initiatives within the company to drive collaboration

- Can be remote, as long as available during accessible hours
