JOB DESCRIPTION:
The below job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Job Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the documentation that you are assigned, adding new content and updating existing content as needed, making sure that the content follows our internal style guide and meets customers' needs, and proactively looking for ways to improve the content.
Perform other tasks, such as reviewing UI strings
Essential experience:
Excellent English grammar and usage
The ability to write clearly, concisely, and accurately about complex, highly technical software
Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and computer/technical skills
Knowledge of technical communication best practices and standards, especially topic-based content, DITA, and minimalism
A degree in a relevant field (such as technical communication, user experience, or information architecture) or equivalent experience
Preferred experience:
Topic-based content
DITA/XML
CMSs
Writing for localization, plain language, Simplified English
Style guides, especially Microsoft Style Guide, Chicago Manual of Style, and Global English Style Guide
Using or documenting REST APIs
Data management software
Other technologies such as big data, virtualization, and cloud
