The Role

As a new magazine, we are looking to employ a persuasive Advertising Sales Representative to convince potential clients to purchase advertising and web space, and to ensure that clients remain satisfied with our advertising products and services.
Working from a home office, the successful candidate will be solely responsible for selling advertising space in our magazine and digital channels. You will need to have a very clear understanding of who our target market is.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills with clients. Ultimately, an Advertising Sales Representative should achieve a good customer service and continually meet or exceed sales targets.
Responsibilities:
· Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new clients
· Persuading clients to purchase advertising space to hit sales targets
· Communicating the benefits to clients of advertising
· Conducting research on potential clients
· Setting up telephone/Zoom meetings with potential clients to present advertising proposals
· Assist in the preparation of media kits
· Preparing sample advertisements (some in form of an article) for clients in collaboration with our designer
Requirements:
· 2 years of experience working as an advertising sales representative, preferably within a publishing and fashion environment
· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
· Negotiation and consultative sales skills
· Effective communication skills and customer service skills
· As this role would be home based, to be a self-motivated, dedicated, professional and can-do person
The successful candidate will start early January 2022. The role pays a low base salary plus commissions for every advertising sold and a bonus paid after a year if the sales goals be achieved.
