Senior front-end Engineer

There is a large segment of the population which is underserved by the wealth management industry: affluent people, typically people with investable assets between €100k and €5M, often busy families who lack time to do proper financial planning but who really would like to have a full tailored service, more digital, all in one place and that delivers protection for their capital while growing it without an excessive level of risk.

These clients are not well served by banks, for whom they are too small to be worth the more sophisticated but expensive services usually accessible by their large clients; hence ending up with standard products, high and hidden fees and often a lack of performance, especially during market downturns.
This is where Qadra comes in. We are building the next generation wealth management company, based on a groundbreaking user experience that is fully digital, but also empowered by human wealth managers dedicated to their clients.
As a matter of fact, we believe in human-machine interaction as a way to establish transparency, trust and loyalty between clients and those who serve them.

We have been extensively validating our value proposition and we have strong indicators that confirm we are doing the right things to capture this massive opportunity. We are starting from Italy, a country with €200 Billion in investable assets from affluent people and we aim at expanding quickly in other countries.

We are financially backed by large shoulder super-angels and a leading banking group. Having some of our clients as investors in the company is a further confirmation by itself about the strengths of what we are building.

Our team combines a strong mix of competencies and decades of experiences in both the technology, the digital and the wealth management spaces, a group of people who have built and scaled businesses and companies before.

We have now achieved the first MVP stage and we are looking to build a skilled product team who will take the current proposition further.

Our tech stack
Our web app is built in React, Redux, Redux Saga and TypeScript while our public website uses NextJs with TypeScript. We opted for Cypress for the e2e tests.

Our API’s are mainly built using .Net Core with a couple of exceptions, those who are computationally expensive have been built using Python instead.

We designed our architecture following the microservices best practices to ensure scalability both in terms of users and features. Our approach is to follow domain driven design (DDD) and use queues and serverless functions to exchange data between microservices.

We believe in development speed and testing, all our code is pushed to production using CI pipelines with automated tests.
About you
Considering the upcoming launch we have decided to restructure our frontend team with the objective of hiring new developers within the next year. We are therefore looking for a Frontend Engineer who will work closely with our Lead Engineer to deliver an exceptional product and scale the frontend team further.

Your day to day
● Write quality code - We all have a thorough experience working in tech companies and know that the code doesn’t have to just work but also has to be maintainable and testable
● Model the product - You will work closely with our product owners, designers and other engineers to design our product. We are a team and your input is key
● Grow and help us grow - You will code review the job done by your colleagues and will be happy to receive feedback with the end goal of improving the quality of our code base

Technical skills:
● Passion for coding following industry best practices
● At least 5 years of experience in developing user interfaces using JavaScript coupled with frameworks such as TypeScript, React, Redux, Vue
● Proven experience using REST API’s
● Proven experience in structuring the code following best practices and methodologies such as atomic design / BEM
● Proven experience developing high quality UI’s using CSS / SASS / LESS

● Portfolio of websites or mobile apps
● Work experience in FinTech
● Open Source development experience
● Existing Github repository
