The Role

GLASfunds is seeking a strong product owner to become our Director of Platforms, to help build the technology platform for the future Alternative Investments. The ideal candidate will take a service design driven mindset to identify tangible business goals and build flexible tools to support end users. The platform owner will set their feature roadmap, lead goal and priority discussions, and create flexible architecture to address current and future growth opportunities. The position responsibilities will include:

• Build a technology roadmap, including backlog, and partner with technology counterparts to build a strategic roadmap that aligns with firm strategic vision for the platform
• Lead a squad in an Agile framework serving as product owner for the platform
• Support decision making process with relevant user experience tools including service design map, user journeys, and personas
• Participate in user interviews (internal and external) and systemically gather feedback to inform roadmap and maintenance of feature backlog
• Partner and work alongside MD of Operations to ensure strategic goals and operations are being met for the firm’s broader strategic objectives
• Partner with IT architect and senior engineers to ensure data flow and user flow diagrams are aligned and technology remains internally flexible for business objectives both current and future
• Coordinate stakeholder sign off on relevant topics, including Legal & Compliance when introducing new features
• Identify and raise concerns regarding technical, schedule, and cost risks associated with any project
• Support firm’s compliance and privacy requirements as a SEC registered investment advisor as part of solution design, including SOC2 standards, PII protection, and other necessary safeguards
