ABOUT CIVIC CHAMPS: Civic Champs is a tech startup working with nonprofits to help them better manage and engage with their volunteers. What many people do not realize is how manual and time consuming volunteer management can be. Most nonprofits still rely on pen & paper to manage their volunteers which leads to hours of manual data entry work. We are here to eliminate those paper binders and provide nonprofits with the tools and technology they need so they can get back to helping those in need.
Civic Champs is led by a team of serial entrepreneurs with multiple successful prior exits. We are a Techstars & MassChallenge portfolio company and have won numerous awards from organizations like the Gates Foundation and Techcrunch Startup Battlefield. Civic Champs has offices in Bloomington, IN and Pittsburgh, PA, and Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, MI.
POSITION OVERVIEW: We are hiring 2-3 Sales Development Representatives to expand our sales team. The ideal candidate is a passionate, driven professional with a track record of success in selling. We are seeking team members who are versatile and quick learners, comfortable moving forward with little direction. Within this role you will be trained with the most up to date sales methodology like BANT selling, five step prospecting, and social selling that companies like Google, Microsoft, and Facebook utilize.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: -Prospect and engage new customers in the nonprofit/social good sector via cold call, emailing, and social selling. -Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual goals and metrics as outlined by sales management -Work closely with Account Executives to assist with the sales cycle
Build and optimize sequencing through step by step calling, emailing, and social selling -Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified, prospective customers -Update customer data and communications within HubSpot CRM -Share insights and feature requests back to sales team, marketing, and engineering based on conversations with prospects

NICE TO HAVE: -Soon to be / recent grad focusing on a business major -Members of a university sales club -Prior sales experience -HubSpot CRM experience a plus -Experience working in a tech startup is a plus

COMPENSATION $30,000 base salary plus commissions with on-target-earnings totalling $37,500
