Research Grid (R.grid) is an early-stage start-up that uses machine learning to streamline administrative medical research processes through our intuitive web-app, R.grid. R.grid includes high-volume automated document population, real-time qualitative data collection, intelligent reports and analyses, as well as communication and recruitment support.

Job Overview

The React Native Mobile Developer will develop and publish R.grid’s complimentary mobile app on Apple App Store and Google Play Store. You will work closely with the CEO and Full-Stack team in the development of an easy-to-use, reliable and useful mobile application.

This is a 1 year fixed-term contract (with a 6 month probationary period), with potential to be extended beyond 1 year.

Salary: ₹40,000.00 per month

About You

You’re ambitious, confident, self-motivated and never afraid to take on a challenge. You’re a clear communicator, able to understand business needs and priorities. You’re able to understand user requirements, plan, design and develop mobile applications according to those requirements for Android and iOS, using react native framework.

You should have a strong background of Mobile Development for iOS and Android mobile devices, using React Native, have experience of signing and submitting apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, good knowledge of 3rd party tools and integrations and understand how to test code for commercial production. Knowledge and experience regarding automated testing and expressJs is also good to have, but not mandatory.

You should have strong English proficiency, both spoken and written, and be able to clearly and effectively communicate with an English speaking team. You will be required to align your working hours with the wider team (2pm - 10pm IST)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Plan and document the design of the mobile application
• Development of the mobile application
• Writing clean, functional code for the mobile application
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate solutions
• Write technical documentation
• Publish mobile applications to Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Experience/Knowledge/Technologies

• Excellent knowledge and firm grasp on Javascript language (TypeScript, ClojureScript and CommonJs).
• Adequate experience in terms of the use of Node.js.
• At least 2 years of experience in mobile development for Android and iOS using React Native.
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle ( Android Studio, IntelliJ).
• Knowledge and experience in Swift, Objective C and Java for customised / device specific components and 3rd party tool integrations.
• Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage.
• Good knowledge of the rules, requirements and standard operating procedures for publishing a mobile application on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha would be good to have.
• Initial knowledge of expressJs is also good to have.
• About our recruitment process:

We have a 2 stage interview process preceded by a mobile development task to assess candidate competencies and skills. An IP transfer and NDA will be put in place with the fixed-term contract.
