We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of Android devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. Your focus will be development of Android applications primarily in the back-end, but will also cover some front-end work. You’ll be working alongside engineers and designers, and hence a strong collaborative spirit is a must.

This is mid-senior level position that requires prior experience and comes with strong skill and career development opportunities. You will be a part of a team comprising of an iOS Developer, Android Developer, Web & Server Developer and a Front-End Developer. The team’s mission is to develop customer facing applications for the cutting edge consumer technologies developed by Windosoft.

Responsibilities

• Design and build applications for the Android platform

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features

• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Skills

• Having at least 4-6 years of work experience in Mobile app development

• Extensive knowledge about mobile app development. This includes the whole process, from the first line of code to publishing in the store(s)

• Deep working knowledge of React Native, Ionic frameworks which include both native & hybrid apps

• Understanding mobile app design guidelines on each platform and being aware of their differences

• Integration with Third party APIS & other frameworks, libraries, or other technologies

• Proficiency in Kotlin/Java/Swift/Objective-C/JavaScript/C#/Angular/NodeJS/CtrlS for app development is a must

• Proficiency with writing automated tests in JUnit, Espresso/Mocha/Jest/Enzyme/XCTest is an additional advantage not necessary.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs & JSON format and mobile libraries for networking, specifically Retrofit, axios, Alamofire is an additional advantage but not necessary

• Good understanding of hardware or sensors, like GPS or Bluetooth or sharing files

• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

• Familiarity with database integration using MySQL

• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards

• Understanding of Android design principles and interface guidelines

• Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred

• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools {{such as Instruments and Shark, depending on project needs}}

• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

• Knack for benchmarking and optimization

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN

• Familiarity with continuous integration

• Familiarity with native Android frameworks for GPS, Motion Sensors & Bluetooth
