Senior Software Engineer/Architect/Generalist

We’re looking for an experienced software engineer to help us continue to build out our in-house tech as well as to create new tools, infrastructure and products to help us scale the business. In recent years, we’ve invested heavily in bringing the technology we depend on in-house and creating custom functionality tailored to our needs. We need someone who can, on their own, take a look around and see places where tech can automate, fix, shore up, speed up, remove human error and generally improve the processes the company relies on. Our engineers have a very large impact on the business. Along with that impact comes a large amount of trust, autonomy to make important decisions and ability to take initiative when you see a great idea for something new. Our ideal candidate is someone who wants to own the things they’re working on, can easily shift between languages and tech stacks as needed and can manage themselves.

Responsibilities:

• Help maintain and extend our existing tech infrastructure
• Create new solutions to improve processes across all facets of the company
• Help train and mentor junior engineers
  
• Assist with other tech needs as they arise such as office and employee hardware troubleshooting and maintenance
• Assist with external audits such as penetration tests and other tech related compliance processes
• Find problems, then solve them

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field
• Previously shipped products, either public or internal
• Experience with both the front-end and back-end of application stacks
• Experience with a variety of programming languages, operating systems and technologies
• Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
• Professional and proactive work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  
• Work experience in the financial sector is a plus, but not required
• Startup founder experience is a plus, but not required
