EvenUp is a SaaS/legaltech startup that ensures personal injury victims are awarded the full value of their claims, expanding the $100B+ in awards granted to injury victims every year. For decades, insurance companies and the legal system have made it difficult for millions of ordinary people to seek the justice that they deserve, but cannot afford. EvenUp works with plaintiffs and attorneys on a wide range of injuries, including police brutality cases, child abuse, California wildfires, motor vehicle accidents, etc.

EvenUp’s products include case evaluation SaaS for personal injury attorneys, which puts a dollar value on what claims are worth through demand packages, and financing to injury victims. The more cases EvenUp funds/evaluates, the more proprietary data it collects, the more accurate its predictions, delivering greater value and more precision to both attorneys and victims.

We're looking for a candidate with a startup mindset and a deep knowledge of personal injury law. Experience in personal injury on both sides (defense or plaintiff) is a plus! The ideal candidate will apply their skills in personal injury to hone our product and drive impact with personal injury law firms, plaintiffs and other stakeholders. We’re looking for a personal injury attorney who can help us build products and services for personal injury law firms, increase the pedigree of service provided to injury victims, and spearhead new initiatives. You will work directly with the Co-Founders to develop and deploy new initiatives and products.

Sounds like something you would want to do?

• Work across practice groups, including with our engineering and machine learning teams, to design and roll-out personal injury products
• Support the underwriting team with case assessment and risk models
• Support with drafting memos, demands and various pleadings
• Liaise with personal injury plaintiff attorneys and staff for case management and sales
• Work with counsel to work on cutting-edge legal issues and support regulatory compliance strategies
• Report directly to the Co-Founders

Qualifications

• Have 5+ years years of personal injury litigation experience
• Are a member in good standing of the bar in one or more states
