The Role
We are a small, fully remote team of engineers, building impactful features for our users. As a backend engineer, your primary role will be building the APIs that power our web and mobile applications using Django. You will work closely with our product team to understand new user requirements, taking ownership of projects from technical discovery and architecture, through implementation, all the way to release. You will also coordinate with our Client Success team to understand bugs and performance issues as they come up, providing resolutions and optimizing our API platform to be as fast as possible for our users. Finally, you will be building and maintaining our infrastructure, running on Google Cloud Platform, using Ansible.
We always want to be growing as a team, and we look to each of our team members to bring their own unique experiences and knowledge to the table to achieve that goal. We meet as a team every other week to discuss how projects are going and decide what, if any, changes can be made to make everything run even smoother.
At the core of all of this work and our company is a united goal to create a better winemaking experience for all of our users, but you don't need to to be an expert winemaker when you join. We have many team members with years, even decades, of experience in winemaking, and they are eager to share their knowledge with you.
