Frontend Developer (1-3 yrs)

Job description

We are looking for front end developers with experience from 1 to 3 years. Our tech stack is based on React, both on web (ReactJS) & mobile (React Native).

We are a small team of enthusiastic developers where everyone codes day in day out. Thats why the first step of our interview process is Code it clear. We would love to see how you code. How do you think and apply that thinking to the design & appearance of the app?

You can choose any one of the web exercises. None of the exercises need any backend implementation, all the data management can be done on frontend. You can be creative, you have been given a free hand on how you design & implement them.

Remember:

• The exercise is expected to be a Web Application
• The exercise needs to be done on ReactJS Web Stack
• The web application must run without any errors
• Provide clear instructions to run the web application
• There are no timelines defined to complete the exercise. But you must note how much time you spent on it to complete it and mention that time when you submit it.
• We believe in reading git commit message first before reviewing the code. This help us understand how the code got matured and your thought process behind it.

• Mention the time spent on completing the exercise

What happens after submission:

• As a startup, we all are overloaded, so please be patient to hear back from us and we will get back for sure
• We will review the exercise in all aspects considering your experience, implementation details etc
• If you manage to satisfy our developers with your skills then you will be invited for a detailed technical discussion
• Dont worry, we do not fail anyone, we just check if you are a fit in the team and can we work together, thats it!

You can choose any one of the following web exercises:

Exercise 1: Cricket scoreboard

• App should have a screen showing the scoreboard of a Cricket match
• It should allow to add a team player capturing following data points: (1) Pic (2) Name
• It should show two innings, an inning of each team
• It should have two sections (1) batting (2) bowling for each inning
• It should allow to add a player score of batting & bowling
• Batting scoreboard should capture & display a minimum of the details: (1) Batsman pic (2) Batsman name (3) Batsman status: Currently batting OR out (4) Batsmans runs consisting of: Balls played, Total runs scored (6s, 4’s), (5) Total runs of the team
• Bowling scorecard should capture & display a minimum of following details: (1) Bowler pic (2) Bowler name (3) Bowler bowled overs (4) Total runs scored of the overs bowled (5) Bowler wickets
• Important to note: The scoreboard cannot be an inline editing list

Exercise 2: Must watch movies

• App should display a list of movies to watch
• Each movie in the list should have following data points: (1) Pic/banner (2) Name (3) Few lines of the movie synopsis (4) Release date (5) Action to view the details of the move
• Movie details screen should show: (1) Pic/banner (2) Name (3) Detailed movie synopsis (4) Release date (5) Cast
• App should have a wizard to add a movie in the list. The wizard steps should be: (1) Step 1: Capture details: Pic, Name, Description (2) Step 2: Capture cast: Movie character name, Actor/actress real name, Picture of the actor/actress (3) Step 3: Review the details & submit
• Optional: Edit movie wizard, which should allow to edit the detailed captured in the Add movie wizard
