Software Engineer — Educational Data Mining

*You’re a good fit for this role if you have:

• 4+ years of professional experience with educational data mining, preferably in the context of remote learning.
• Strong analytical skills and hands-on with data mining tools and systems.
• Experience with building a large-scale data pipeline from scratch.
• Led small to medium-sized team of data engineers and scientists.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science with formal training in learning science or human-computer interaction as part of your undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, self-driven, self-directed, and viewed by colleagues as a mentor or guide. Experience working at a startup is highly desirable.
• Passion for transforming access to high-quality education in Computer Science for secondary and post-secondary students.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to lead cross-functionally.

• As a founding team member, you will be an important anchor of our engineering organization, helping us define culture, process, and the technology foundation.
• Execute the product vision. You will own the process and the result and work closely with the executive team and other teammates, leveraging their expertise and driving alignment.
• Grow our engineering team and set a culture of mentorship for new recruits
• Be hands-on. You will lead, manage, build, and ship products with limited resources.
