We are looking for a resilient, empathic business development manager to contribute to the growth of our company. You will be responsible for finding and retaining clients, encouraging current clients to purchase added products or features, and remaining abreast of changes in consumption. You will also be required to build capacity in staff through regular training and mentorship. As a business development manager you responsible for researching and pursuing new business lead for the growth of the business.
You will also be responsible for the P&L of division and will work in the defined geography with absolute control and responsibility. We will be looking for dynamic ideas and explosive growth in the division and hence are looking for people who love the challenge that comes with any new setup. We love problems, because we absolutely adore the solutions that come with it. As a BDM, you will be the regional head responsible for a division.
The current position is remote/on-site depending on need basis.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the P&L of the division and its overall growth in the geographical area.
- Responsible for aggressive target setting and devising realistic means of meeting them.
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
- Increasing the value of current customers.
- Procuring new clients through direct contact, word-of-mouth, and collaboration with the marketing department.
- Attending networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.
- Suggesting upgrades or added products and services that may be of interest to clients and reviewing clients' feedback.
- Conceptualizing and implementing competent strategies, processes and policies for regional operations & ensuring that the requisite changes are made as and when required.
- Planning and directing the marketing efforts towards improving brand equity.
- Developing promotional campaigns around major product launches.
- Equipping staff with the technical and social skills needed to enhance sales.
Requirements:
- Degree in marketing, business administration, or similar is a good to have but not must.
- Extensive sales experience.
- Intuitive and insightful, particularly regarding human behavior.
- Ability to generate revenue by identifying pain points and suggesting suitable products or services.
- Experiance in agriculture product sales / Agri domain is added advantage.
- Great networking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Resourceful, with outstanding research skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and an active listener
- Ability to work under pressure
