About the role:
You will be responsible for handling the full-cycle accounting and finance for a portfolio of emerging companies, being their go-to resource. This may include bookkeeping and accounting reconciliations, financial modelling, sensitivity analyses, tracking KPIs and co-ordinating with lenders, investors, advisors, and banks.
We’re looking for someone that is willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. This may entail a wide variety of work, as clients needs may vary.
Other examples of activities you will be working on or managing:
Recording and reconciling transactions to appropriate accounts with supporting documents
Accounts payable, cheques, transfers and wires
Invoicing and receivables
Payroll administration
Sales tax filings
Improvements to processes and internal controls as you can see and recommend
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a dedicated finance professional that has a strong desire to make an impact. This requires someone that comfortably works in ambiguity, is attentive to detail and confidently prioritizes multiple projects. You are curious and a problem solver. You learn, adapt, and pursue opportunities to improve.
Requirements:
CPA designation
Public accounting firm experience or similar professional services capacity serving private company clients
Prior experience at a start-up, and/or high growth company
Experience with Quickbooks Online or Xero, and their integrated apps (e.g. Dext, Plooto)
Strong skillset in Microsoft Office and G Suite Applications
3+ years work experience
