We’re looking for an enthusiastic Sales Manager to join Zmodo, a growth-stage smart-home device startup based in Champaign, IL that has sold over 10 million devices across the globe, and has 1M+ active SaaS users.

What You Will Do:
We are seeking a Sales Manager who can initiate conversations with executives and program owners at IoT/Cloud Recording/Video Streaming companies. Reporting to the CEO, the Sales Manager will focus on new business in the United States. Ideally, you will be located in Champaign, IL, but for the right candidate other locations will be considered.
You are expected to build your own profitable pipeline through direct outreach to qualified prospects.
Key Responsibilities
Growing a profitable pipeline of opportunities through:
- Timely and relevant follow-up on inbound interest
- Account-based outbound and social selling supported by our sales development team with leading-edge tools
- Delivering on quota numbers aligned with company strategy and ambitious growth targets
- Negotiating commercial terms with win-win outcomes
- Using your direct experience of software in manufacturing environments to relate with prospective buyers
- This is an individual contributor role
Our Ideal Candidate
We hire sales executives who know how to build relationships in a longer, complex sales cycle, close deals and beat quota. This is not a transactional sale and we are not seeking a lone wolf. You must have a track record of evangelizing, building value by asking great questions and understanding a customer’s business challenges. If your teammates and customers are your greatest champions, this is the right job for you. Qualifications we’re looking for include:
- Successful track record in field sales carrying annual quota of $1M or more for 2+ years with a B2B/B2C SaaS company
- Past experience teaching and leading groups
- Professional presentation skills
- Self-starter with strong motivation to succeed
- Committed to customer satisfaction and a passion for customer success.
- Ability to work through teams and independently, at multiple organizational levels
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Creative, consultative, and a strong communicator
- Eagerness to learn new skills, grow professionally, and take on new challenges
- Ability to travel to customer sites
