Office Manager for Small Operation

We are looking for an office manager to run a very small practice in the Cow Hollow/ Marina district. The start-time is immediate, but we will take the time to ensure you are the right fit so to start we are offering part-time hours (every other day- M, W, F), and if you are quick and possess initiative, this may last only a couple weeks and we will increase hours/ pay as appropriate. Starting pay is $19 per hour for ~5-6 hour days, 3 days a week.

A TYPICAL DAY:
Taking in website orders, packaging and shipping
Greeting clients
General filing of documents
Light cleaning (Covid has made this a standard in all settings)
Setting clients up on the various "machines"
Ordering supplements and restocking shelves
This is what you would do during business hours which are limited at this time

The off-hours (Tuesday & Thursday) are reserved for social marketing, organizing, and improving business metrics. This is where you take ownership and initiative, so if you want a job that dictates a predictable set of easy retail duties, please pass on this opportunity to learn and grow. 70% of the time you will be autonomous so internal motivation is key. You should be a critical thinker with ability to make decisions on your own, but be transparent and open with the owner. YOU:

• Honest, have integrity and CARE (about people, the business, quality)
• Take initiative; I repeat-you can make decisions and execute. Managing up; is a practiced skill set and is required for your success and the ultimate success of the business. Outside the box thinkers are best here!
• Technology doesn't scare you. You have a Mac and like to use it- or- you simply are not intimidated by the use of computers, or have experience with the ins and outs of a retail POS, which is state of the art!
• Curious!! You ask questions if you cannot find the answer, and you find solutions instead of waiting for one.
• Flexible. Not bendy, but truly flexible in your skill set and your ego will not prevent you from taking care of what needs to be done, even if it means some light clean-up or busting out a hand drill once in a while. Yes, your handy skills can come in to play but I think of this as a creative break and fun- but not a requirement for the position- or a long term need.
• A thick skin or ability to read situations and move on. Make recommendations to the owner who can be described as a nutty professor sort. He needs a decision-maker so he can focus on what he does best.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Creative. Simply put, this comes in useful.
• An interest in social media, and hands-on experience with it. Bonus if you have a marketing background and can take on full social marketing needs that include Facebook/ Instagram Live, general posting, campaigns, and newsletters.
• If you are passionate about health, alternative medicine, or functional health/ wellness, you will thrive here. If you are in the field you will acquire a ton of knowledge from a leader in the industry (Lymes Disease, Celiacs, neuro disorders).
• A tech background- this is not a requirement by any means, but if you have skills, you have an opportunity to build something really cool. A fresh retail website, a blog section; design and deliver endless ways to build a portfolio of experience or practice some skills!
• EQ. People skills are a must, but I am putting this at the bottom because to be a success here, the aforementioned bits are most important.
