History has an echo. Our task is to make it heard.
I am looking for two Board Members to join the nonprofit called The Lincoln Special. This is an unpaid board seat that will meet remotely twice a month. This is not about revenue or vanity, but social issues of far more significance… racial justice and mental health. By utilizing the powerful medium of film and television, we will communicate the truth of our history through storytelling. Particularly, Abraham Lincoln’s final story of his funeral train in Indiana. By taking this motion picture directly to underserved regions in the United States, we usher in a renewed sense of optimism and hope for generations to come.
We are seeking Board Members who have experience in fundraising, prior leadership in nonprofits, and an honest desire to preserve our history. The Lincoln Special isn’t out to change the world, just to preserve its history. Lincoln’s life is a gift that continues to give every day.
Here is a brief overview of what we’re looking for.
