DevOps Engineer

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team responsible for a large, distributed, cloud-based SaaS application used by the Fortune 2000 companies and the top consulting firms worldside.

Candidates who fall into this category will likely be:

• Keeping all services running, secured, highly available and properly tuned
• Knowledge of cloud-based services and hosting environments (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
• Knowledge of various tools to orchestrate solutions (Docker, KOPS, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
• Write scripts and automation using scripting or programming languages (Perl, Python, Groovy, Java, Bash, JavaScript, etc.)
• Configure and manage data sources (MySQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop, etc.)
• Build independent web-based tools, microservices and solutions
• Understand how IT operations are managed through Infrastructure-as-Code
• Manage source control including SVN and GIT
• Implement new technologies and related tools to grow the agile development environment
• Providing direct server support during various operations such as deployment and general production
• Collaborate with Software Developers, Software Architects and Product Owners to ensure environments meet requirements and conform to best practices
• Proactively defend against cyber security issues
• Maintaining fiscal responsibility with system infrastructure and cloud services
• Automating deployment of applications, system configurations and security settings
• Prioritizing requests from operations, development and product teams fairly while demonstrating a sense of empathy
• Participate in Agile ceremonies as required
