We’re looking for a part-time (20-30 hours/week) Marketing Lead to take Bird + Stone to the next level of growth and impact. In this role, you’ll own the growth strategy for the company, manage performance marketing initiatives, and launch campaigns that grow the brand and make an impact. This is a role with virtually unlimited potential for growth -- as the company grows, you’ll have the opportunity to take on new and varied responsibilities.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Setting performance goals with CEO based on 1 and 3-year growth plans
- Oversee the full marketing calendar and budget, managing campaigns from ideation to execution
- Managing vendors, freelancers, and interns to execute on marketing campaigns
- Tracking and analyzing digital analytics to inform marketing strategy
Growth marketing:
- Own and lead Bird + Stone growth and acquisition strategy across all performance media channels, scaling new customer acquisition while balancing efficiency
- Build strategy for engaging with existing customers through lifecycle marketing, with an emphasis on email marketing
- Stay on top of new marketing trends and channels, prioritize and allocate budget to efficiently test
Brand marketing:
- Staying on top of news related to our cause areas and opportunities to activate our audience
- Identify and work with strategic marketing partners to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition
- Brainstorm and identify new creative opportunities to establish Bird + Stone as the leading jewelry company for changemakers
- Ensure brand alignment across campaigns and channels
Marketing Operations + Execution:
- Coordinate campaigns -- supporting the development of email marketing campaigns, facebook ad assets, landing pages, and organic social assets while supporting with execution as needed
- Provide creative direction for marketing campaigns and related assets
- Maintain file organization system in Google Drive, build new systems as needed to support growth
Who You Are:
- Excited about the potential for brands to make an impact
- Strong project manager, analytical, and excellent communicator
- Creative and constantly thinking of big campaign ideas but also know how to bring them down to earth and test for potential in an efficient way
- Entrepreneurial and curious -- you’re eager to learn, a self-starter, and excited to take on new and varied responsibilities
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and comfortable leading a remote/asynchronous team
You Have Experience:
- Building marketing strategies (preferably for growing startups and/or direct-to-consumer brands) and executing on marketing campaigns across channels
- Managing a growing team (will be managing at least 3 direct reports)
- Analyzing data from marketing campaigns to understand performance and trends and translating it into actionable recommendations
Additional Qualifications:
- Familiar with cause marketing, especially messaging around any of our current cause areas
- Prior experience or interest in marketing for direct-to-consumer brands
- Understanding paid social channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc) and knowledge of which levers can be pulled to optimize acquisition efforts
