Field Engineer - Illinois

We are hiring full-time, seasonal field technicians to support a soil-science research project funded by the US Department of Agriculture. Join a dynamic team of engineers, scientists, and specialists working on the cutting edge of smart farming.

About the Job
Salary: $20-$25 an hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal
Start: Immediately

Responsibilities Include:
Driving to farms
Augering holes for soil sensors
Soil sensor installation and maintenance
Installation of gateways and wireless communication networks
Sampling soil and mailing to labs

Required
Able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
Mode of transportation
Eagerness to learn smart farm technologies including but not limited to AgTech, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, Agronomy, Startups, Hardware, Agriculture

Preferred
OSHA certification
Background in agriculture, engineering
