ETHGlobal's mission is to provide developers the best possible entry point into the Ethereum ecosystem. Your mission will be to grow ETHGlobal's reach by drawing new developers into our ecosystem, using data-driven strategies that you will develop and implement.

About you

• You have experience helping developers. You are empathetic, know how to break down barriers, and propose solutions.
• You care about Ethereum. You are driven to make the space a better place to be, for everyone interested in Ethereum.
• You have an ownership mentality. When you take on a task, you get it done. You proactively troubleshoot problems blocking your path, and the problems blocking the paths of others.

Your Responsibilities

• Grow ETHGlobal's hacker support arm which includes things like digital guides and tutorials, live workshops with hackers and external guests, online video guides, and a community for common questions & answers.
• Identify and execute strategies that can help developers find help with their hackathon projects. Some ideas we have are:
• Enable peer-to-peer mentorship by building a mentorship app / discord bot
• Developing small tools for the hacker dashboard to allow hackers to like, comment, and discuss details about other hackers projects and encourage this kind of behaviour
• Help build internal tools for managing hackathon attendees and their projects during the hackathon
• Help build external facing project showcase websites that highlight the work done by hackers
• Help build Web3 connected workflows and artifacts for hackers such as authentication by ethereum address and the issuance of NFTs for attending and staking at an event
• Support developers before, during, and after our hackathons

Your skillset & experience

• 2+ years in a developer relations role
• Experience marketing a product or service to developers is a plus
• Understanding of the ethereum developer ecosystem
• What are the most popular developer tools
• What are the general product offerings of our sponsors and how they fit together
• What are the core building blocks of ethereum
• Experience with smart contract programming languages (Solidity, Vyper) preferred
• Experience building web applications and rough familiarity with Web3 and frontend libraries (ethers.js, react) preferred
• Strong written and verbal proficiency in English
• Fluency in another language is a plus
• Strong communication skills; empathetic when helping developers work through problems

Notes

• This is a full-time role
• Fully remote position
• Will require occasional travel to ETHGlobal events around the world, once travel is permitted again (post-Covid)
