Electrical Technician

Tasks:

Install and repair industrial electrical components, to include wiring control panels

Install conduit and cable harnesses that comply with the safety regulations.

Perform troubleshooting of safety devices, including Estops, guard doors, light curtains, and safety relays. Example devices include linear servo handling, electric and servo-electric motors

Assist the other engineers with the deployment or installation of robotic cells

Use of various equipment such as hand tools, saws, hand drill, and drill press, grinders, multimeters, and other measurement devices (such as calipers)

Testing equipment in both manual and automatic modes in conjunction with a programmer

Identify necessary design changes and communicate them with team leader and/or engineering department

Finish all the other tasks being assigned

Required Qualification:

At least two years of experience working as an electrician, or in the industrial control panel related fields

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics

Ability to troubleshoot electrical wiring

Knowledge of sensors and various sensor types including diffuse, laser, fiber optic, contact and non-contact

Soldering, Welding & automation experience

Self-motivated and can work on projects independently to help meet tight deadlines

Desired Attributes:

Basic knowledge of robotics and PLC, programming knowledge a plus

Knowledge of safety regulations e.g. OSHA, ANSI, etc.

Experience in panel layout design

Experience in conveyor assembly

Experience in robotics cell wiring layout is highly preferred

Forklift operation a plus
