The Role

We're seeking a Senior Epic Clinical Systems Technical Integrations Developer - MyChart/EpicCareLink for a FTE opportunity located in northern CA.

Job Summary:

Web Applications supports core functions of the health system's applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care.
This position will implement, administer, and support assigned systems under the minimal guidance of senior members of the team.
The position will have a thorough understanding of Epic modules, ancillary systems, and health system operations.
This position independently addresses issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity with little or no supervision and delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization.

  • Develop or refine HL7 interfaces (Ai will provide training in HL7 technology as needed).
  • Create and maintain code mappings, when necessary, for translating codes of sending facilities’ HL7 messages.
  • Ensure end-to-end message transport and processing is achieved and troubleshoot and research issues that may arise in an electronic system’s encoding of HL7 messages.
  • Design and develop innovative software solutions that solve tough challenges in the industry.
  • Maintain high quality of work products with supporting documentation.
  • Manage multiple job duties through efficient task management.
  • Communicate effectively with business partners and clients when needed.

Preferred

  • Experience with Epic My chart integrations
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services environment
  • Experience with hospital feeds and terminology
  • Scripting languages (Javascript, Perl or ksh) and knowledge of SQL would be a big plus
  • Knowledge of XSLT
  • Experience in a healthcare or healthcare support industry is strongly desired
  • Development experience in any object oriented language (e.g. C#, Java, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge in OOP/OOD and design patterns
  • 2 or more years of experience in software development.
  • Database experience.
  • Experience in back-end J2EE development
  • Expert in the following technologies: EJB3; JMS; Web Services; XML
  • Experience with DB2/Oracle, Hibernate, JDBC, SQL
  • SOA; ESB; Rules Engine; BPEL knowledge
  • Experience with laboratory feeds and terminology
