The Role

Position Overview
Under direction of the COO, the Systems Engineer provides technical project delivery to our most critical clients. The position will work with the Project Management Organization (PMO), Sales, and Pre-Sales Engineering to execute multi-faceted high-end engagements. You will be responsible for projects, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts. You will manage small to large projects, as well as being a team member on large complex engagements involving multiple technologies.

This position is a critical member of our engineering team responsible for deploying solutions and providing support to some of the most prominent companies in M&E, government, higher education, and enterprise companies. This role requires you to manage customer expectations, communicate effectively internally and externally, and help support our client’s requirements as effectively as possible.

IMT engineers have a broad scope of responsibilities as their skill sets allow for variable roles within projects. Key to this is the ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. IMT looks for growth and leadership within our team members; paramount to this is your ability to provide technical leadership and vision for the delivery of solutions to our clients, prospects, and partners.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Deploy and troubleshoot core datacenter technologies:
o Storage (NAS / SAN / hyper-converged)
o Networking (IP and Fibre Channel)
o Compute
o Virtualization
o DR / Backup
o Cloud solutions (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Perform project-based engineering, installation and troubleshooting of multi-vendor solutions
• Knowledge of enterprise storage and cloud vendors
• Knowledge of scripting and automation
• Work closely with sales, Pre-Sales Engineering, and PMO for project planning and rollouts
• Producing Project Documentation for and assuring the team is developing:
o Functional Designs
o Testing and Migration Plans
o Project specific guides for clients
o Technical drawings
o Internal project documentation for ongoing support
o Final as-built documentation
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the technical management of clients, vendors, and product manufacturers
• Complete vendor training and certifications

• Ability to meet deadlines, follow-through on commitments, and take corrective action where appropriate
• Work with management to assist in improving internal operations
o Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
• Provide leadership for internal teams/task forces
