As a Software Sales Manager you’ll be a self-starter. You will be required to define sales strategies, develop & manage a team of agents, and drive sales to meet the targets set by the management. The candidate must be a pleasant personality and should exhibit a passion to grow. The candidate should be highly ethical and professional in conduct with the clients and colleagues. The candidate is expected to have a strong understanding of the sales process. The candidate is also expected to have knowledge of standard CRM and other sales & business generation tools. The job function involves lead identification, prospecting, sales funnel creation and closures in-line with the sales targets. The candidate must be able to convincingly present the company to the prospective lead and play a pivotal role in converting those leads to paying customers
Responsibilities:
• Strong connections in the Market and Generate revenue by successfully initiating contact with potential customers, leveraging relationships, formulating and implementing his/her personal sales strategy.
• Develop different sales strategies for deal closure and successful delivery.
• Develop account penetration strategies, client relationship with a consulting approach addressing client's pain points and challenges.
• Developing a prospective client database of qualified leads through referrals, market study & competitive analysis
• Researching, hunting, and qualifying new leads - Follow up aggressively with prospects/ Customers to close business
• Manage full sales cycle starting from lead generation by conducting calls/sending emails/connecting via social media, scheduling "first meetings" for sales/pre-sales, conducting customer surveys, and bringing awareness about the services on behalf of sales/marketing teams, to sharing presentations, and finalizing terms & operating practices.
• Understand target market characteristics and map its needs with the offerings. The candidate should be able to
o Research within the industry to create call lists.
o Proactive and aggressive qualification of new opportunities.
o Understand all phases of the sales cycle.
o Constant communication with prospects in written and verbal presentations, to sell indirectly.
• Understand the client’s business profile, mission, vision, culture and business needs. The candidate should be able to convert the needs in a proposal which can be shared with the executive management of target companies for arranging meetings.
• Analyze potential clients and identify key decision-makers (like…CEO/CTO/HR Head) for product/service offering, using references databases, online directories, portals to create, maintain, and grow the potential lead database
• Setting up a lead management system using software tools, and driving a data-driven and analytical sales funnel
• Analyzing, differentiating and converting clients from hot prospects
• Ensuring high customer retention through customer service and relationship
• Taking care of sales queries and closing them
• Ensure operating activities are streamlined by working with partners to ensure on-time performance.
• Understand the strategic direction set by senior management, clearly communicate team goals, deliverables, and keep the team updated on change.
• Basic understanding of technologies being offered to the clients in defined industry sector is desired
• Providing weekly/Monthly/Quarterly updates to the senior management and lead business review meetings
• The candidate should be willing to work on reasonable sales targets and should have proven track record of having met similar sales targets in the past.
• Must have a strong understanding of different engagement models.
• Able to speak with HR of companies and effectively engaging with the clients and generating the set targeted revenue
• Business planning & forecasting for assessment of revenue potential in business opportunities
• Experience in early stage startup environments would be an advantage
• Focused and possess a sales mindset Direct and work with the delivery & operation team towards successful execution of assignments
Skills Required
• Any Graduate or MBA (IT/Marketing) with 3+ years of experience
• Demonstrated ability to Identify & convert prospects to opportunities
• Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills, able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
• Exceptional written, verbal communication and listening skills
• Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
• High level of integrity and work ethic
