Engineering Lead (Lahore, Pakistan)

As an Engineering Lead, you will be at the heart of our Product team. You will provide technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship. You'll lead a sprint team with software engineers, qa engineers and product management. You will be setting our software engineers up for success, with your guidance on architecture, code review and people management.
This role is embedded within the Product team and works closely with the CPO, Customer Success and Growth team.

What you'll be doing:
Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
You'll be working with the PM in your team, reporting to heads of Engineering in your dept.
Participate in Cross team collaboration, within and across the departments.
Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
Code Review
Package and support deployment of releases.
Work with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to current technologies.
Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications.
Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
Research and evaluate a variety of software products

What skills and technical competencies you'll need:
5 to 8 years’ experience as a Software Developer
Our tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, Angular, React, etc
Prior experience in a technical leadership position
People management skills - essential!
