Who We Are
Cactus is an interdisciplinary design studio. We are focused on building new experiences, products and services at the intersection of digital technology and physical architecture. The team structure is unique and versatile -- made up of architects, software developers, hardware specialists, strategists, designers and makers. We work with visionary clients to imagine truly new-to-the-world concepts. But unlike a typical agency or consultancy, we then do the work to actually design, produce and launch that new idea into the real world. Although the projects we work on are increasingly diverse, the theme of data-driven design has become a common thread throughout. More specifically, was we have begun to see innovation in the health and wellness space take the world by storm, Cactus has grown its team and experiences to match that trend. In parallel to client service projects, Cactus has built a suite of products through the venture studio arm of our business, many of which are firmly rooted in health innovation.
Who You Are
We are looking for an ambitious, organized Business Development Lead who is well-connected in the health and wellness space to join our virtual team. With experience in new lead generation, outbound prospecting, and diligent CRM tracking, you will be working closely with the Cactus leadership team to make numerous connections and build strong but dynamic relationships predominantly focused on the health and wellness world (think physical therapy clinics, dermatology startups, large health systems, and fitness studios). You are a self-starter focused predominantly on execution, exceeding expectations, and building authentic relationships in order to consistently over achieve no matter your task. We are looking for an individual who is ready to run at a fast, start-up pace and be a critical part in facilitating the growth and expansion of the company.
Responsibilities
- Build robust pipelines to create partnerships and connections relevant to Cactus’ growth strategy
- Pioneer investor, client, and advisor engagement in innovative Cactus products contextualizing their applications
- Have your finger on the pulse of health and wellness innovation (ie. investment trends, product development themes, conferences and panels of interest)
- Manage contract negotiations aimed at establishing the foundation of a strong working relationship with our partners, including sustainable economics for both parties
- Engage Cactus leadership at pivotal moments in the relationship development process
- Provide foundational support in introducing Project Managers to activate projects
- Review and analyze client, market data, and industry research for pitch and other client meetings
Requirements
- 7+ years of sales or business development experience within the Health and Wellness space
- Strong organization skills and the ability to keep track of multiple leads and relationships at once
- Track record of success demonstrated through specific metrics and performance numbers
- Experience project managing and being the point of contact to business
- Tireless attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- B.S. or B.A. or equivalent experience
