Tech Lead opportunity with early-stage startup, Founded by ex-Amazon leader

Bitplay technology is a stealth mode startup founded by ex-Amazon leader. We collectively bring over 40+ yrs of experience in eCommerce, omni-channel retail, media and industrial automation. We are building a next generation internet commerce platform which will empower millions of merchants / sellers to effectively serve billions of consumers across the globe.

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader to join our founding team. This person will be tasked with bringing to life the first version of our B2C and B2B facing platform, iterate on the same as we learn more from customers and handle scale as the company grows. This is a chance to work with a smart, driven, world class team that is in the process of creating a game changing platform from ground zero. You will get to wear multiple hats, learn how business growth translate to technical development. You will be working in best in class technology stack which includes, AWS Technologies (DynamoDB, S3, GraphQL, Lambda), Firebase, Flutter, React.js / PWA etc. .

Tech Leader Responsibilities:

• Build technical vision and roadmap for our flagship product
• Remain current on new technologies and available technology trends; evaluate and make recommendations as necessary.
• Design, build, and maintain WebApp, Android App, Database, Cloud based technologies
• Build software systems to scale millions of transaction per day with low-latency, high-availability
• Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions.
• Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling
• Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes.

Technical Leader requirements:

• Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ yrs of Industry experience designing, programming, maintaining software systems and indepdently leading projects
• Prior experience in working with AWS/Cloud technologies
• Prior experience in high-growth startup is plus
• Proficiency with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and jQuery, database technologies
• Good understanding of server-side CSS, node.js
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
