Position Description:

Financial Technology Partners is seeking a Presentation Designer with expert PowerPoint skills and additional skills in Word and Excel to join our expanding team. You’ll be joining a firm of experts and thought leaders in the Investment Banking space. This is a unique opportunity to join the Research and Business Development (RBD) team who is responsible for building the firm’s brand across events, content, and communications, including press releases. You will report to the Head of RBD and you will help execute and implement the visual representation of the firm’s brand, especially through PowerPoint presentations, event materials, digital platforms, and other collateral.

This role will require an ability to effectively manage tight deadlines, juggle competing priorities, and collaboration with internal teams. Good interpretation of design principles and verbal direction and elements such as graphics, photography, balance, typography, and color preferred. This is an excellent opportunity to work side by side with professionals at all levels in an entrepreneurial and collaborative team environment.

The Presentation Designer will be able to effectively communicate complicated ideas in visually compelling and effective way. You will be tasked with communicating complexity through thoughtful, engaging presentations.

Collaborating with our internal operating teams
Design and build presentations
Research – develop the story about client and develop collateral that showcases it
Create collateral, signage, posters, etc. for college career fairs, road shows and special events
Manage the images directly – source images, thumbnails, edit photography
Follow and update style guides as our visual identity evolves
Work across multiple mediums in a very digitally-native, tech-savvy manner
Help editorial team with image editing, gifs, illustrations and more
Co-develop and champion of brand standards and guidelines

General Qualifications

Intellectually curious, loves tech, people, new ideas and wants to learn more about tech + VC
1-5 years of experience, preferably in Financial Services or Professional Services industries
Permanent U.S. work authorization
Marketing, Graphic, or Fine arts degree a plus
3.30 GPA or greater

Strong project management skills, prioritization and organizational skills

Presentation Design

Can develop a variety of assets that have different variations yet also fit into overall style
Ability to work with large quantities of data and create meaningful presentations through that data
Expert in presentation development with a passion for PowerPoint
Must have strong portfolio samples in the following:
Microsoft Office Suite
Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Sketch
Communications

Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
Team player, receptive to creative direction and feedback
Able to take abstract or complex tech and business concepts and develop them into something concrete and more easily understood through visuals
