Mid-Senior Full Stack Developer (Ruby on Rails) - Remote (Central and South America only)

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails developer who will be responsible for building, maintaining and improving scalable Rails applications. Your primary focus will be development of server-side logic, implementing APIs, definitions and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also assist in integrating front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is a big advantage.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers and other software engineers to build groundbreaking user-centric products
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications and APIs
• Implement new features and user interfaces, keeping mobile first always on top of your mind
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Maintain healthy, scaleable and well-monitored production environment
• Help the team succeed as a whole

What you bring

• 3+ years working with Ruby on Rails
• Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Appreciation for clean and well documented code
• You have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken, and are a natural communicator.
• Currently working form Central or South America
• Experience with Docker, AWS, microservices, and serverless infrastructure - a plus
• Experience working remotely - nice to have
