API Ecosystem Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on API ecosystem manager to make integrating with Teralytic’s platform a seamless experience for customers, partners, and third-party developers. The ideal candidate has a passion for learning, interacting with developers, and an array of technical skills to quickly build solutions and reference implementations. This role provides a unique opportunity to help drive API product development and help customers build successful solutions utilizing Teralytic services. Please note, this is a mid-senior level job.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers, partners, and third-party developers via email, forums, phone, and social media to assess goals, direct to existing resources, answer questions, resolve issues, and gather input on behavior, and new functionality requests
• Developing public GitHub repositories of well-written and documented sample code demonstrating the usage of Teralytic’s language specific SDKs
• Maintain the public API specification and documentation
• Create and maintain integrations with industry platforms and work through the review and approval process
• Design and build tools and dashboards to monitor API health and load to better understand any problem spots, performance bottlenecks, etc
• Work with management and product teams on API vision, strategy, and product roadmaps
• Work with internal engineering team on platform feature requests, issue identification and resolution, language and tool support
• Attend technology and industry conferences, give strategic and technical presentations
• Write blog entries, technical articles, and create technical documents/diagrams

Required Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience with API platform strategy, roadmaps, and advocacy
• Proven ability to write clear, well documented code in languages such as NodeJS, Python, Java, C#, Go, CLI
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written interactions

Bonus Skills and Experience:

• Agricultural background or experience in AgTech
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with Big Data Architectures and Time Series Data
• Knowledge and/or experience with IoT sensors, remote sensor telemetry, serverless data processing

Education:

• MS is desired; technical background with Computer Science, and/or Engineering/Math background is highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices
• Proficient in data formats (JSON, XML) and export considerations (large datasets, formats)
• Proficient in GraphQL and REST
• Proficient in API architectures, authentication mechanisms (basic, oauth2, etc), integration platforms (Zapier, IFTTT, node-red, etc)
• Knowledgeable in polling, webhooks, and subscriptions
