Who we are

Our marketplace uncovers the world’s most unique spaces, such as lofts, rooftops, and art galleries, and makes them bookable for meetings, events, and film or photo shoots. We pride ourselves on providing an end-to-end solution for planning all kinds of memorable events, from spaces to services.
Over 3 million people have attended activities booked in Peerspace locations, and we’re looking for people who want to help us reach the next 20 million.
Our people are the heart of Peerspace. We are a team that values inclusion and working cross functionally. Our strategy and objectives are clear and we support one another to exceed expectations. We believe that a healthy company culture creates an environment where people are excited to come into work everyday and contribute to building a successful organization. Our team members are naturally curious, leading by taking action, and sharing insights with others across the company.

Who We’re Looking For:

The Regional Lead at Peerspace is responsible for advancing existing Peerspace metros into their next stage of growth. In this highly strategic role, the lead will own performance and growth tactics for a portfolio of metro areas across North America. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): metro specific supply acquisition, supply merchandising, supply account development, local marketing, and strategic partnership development. Additionally, this person will be responsible for co-authoring the playbook on creating repeatable & predictable growth in markets that have surpassed the launch stage.

A successful candidate will be able to identify winning strategies that will allow emerging markets to grow month over month, quarter over quarter, with respect to top line growth—from both a GMV and bookings perspective. They will collaborate with leadership across the company to test growth experiments and ultimately enact scalable growth initiatives. They will manage a team of entrepreneurial market managers and launchers to continue to expand Peerspace’s footprint within existing and launch markets.

In order to be successful, candidates will need to collaborate regularly with Peerspace’s Host Acquisition, Product, Customer Experience, Growth, Business Development & BizOps teams.

What You’ll Do:

Manage a portfolio of markets and a team of entrepreneurial, strategic Market Managers and Launchers to nurture new and existing metro performance.

Conduct regular market assessments in collaboration with Business Operations to analyze data and understand the inputs that drive spaces, bookings, and revenue growth.

Develop strategic plans and own the top-line performance of a market being incubated by the metro development function.

Collaborate with other regional peers to experiment, learn, and iterate on tactics that can lead to creation of a metro development playbook.

Collaborate with peers across Operations, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to standardize best practices that can be scaled or automated across the platform.

Acquire and optimize key supply in the right geographic areas, partnering with the Host Acquisition team in your region and the central On-boarding team to document best practices around these hyper-targeted efforts.

Generate brand awareness through local marketing and events, partnering with the central Marketing team to identify Peerspace’s positioning strategy for those specific initiatives.

Team up with our Business Development & Sales team to identify key customer segments and verticals within your region and develop those relationships through direct outreach and in person sales.

Work with Finance & Business Operations to develop a budget in line with company fiscal objectives and manage to those targets in an ongoing fashion.

What You’ll Bring:

7-10 years experience in operations, strategy, sales, or business development (ideally at an early stage startup or at a high-growth Internet company). Bonus points for experience at a marketplace company.

Comfort with ambiguity and enthusiasm for building things from scratch. Ability to prioritize your team’s resources in order to deliver against your region’s OKRs.

Experience structuring high-level strategies with a bias towards action; enjoy digging deeply into large data sets to extract actionable insights.

You know how to measure and monitor results to move key metrics in the right direction. You are adept at Excel. SQL knowledge a major bonus.

You are transparent and openly share information.

You have experience working with employees at all levels of a company and enjoy managing a team.

You have the ability to influence key stakeholders and teams without direct authority.
