Responsibilities:
- Perform exploratory quantitative research to design complex incentive optimization models for various blockchain protocols, and gain insights into how markets behave.
- Participate in research projects, and stay up-to-date on innovative topics within the quantitative field.
- Gather relevant data from various sources within the DeFi ecosystem, including blockchain data, user interactions, transaction history, etc.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure data collection methods are efficient and scalable.
- Conduct simulations and scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of different strategies on protocol performance.
Qualifications
- A master's or doctoral degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, mathematics, economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of data science concepts, machine learning algorithms, and statistical techniques.
- Fundamental understanding of decentralized finance (DeFi) concepts and protocols is a plus.
- Prior quantitative analyst role at a trading firm highly preferred.
- Fundamental understanding or expertise in game theory, mechanism design, protocol design would be great to have.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to adapt to a rapidly evolving industry and learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies as needed.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and timelines.
