Insent is looking for a Technical Writer to join our expanding team to help us curate informative help documentation for our customers. In this role, you will work closely with the product team. Your main responsibility would be to collaborate with the product team and the founders to translate product features into educational help documentation. This requires you to have a rich picture of how Insent’s features resolve customer needs. You will also be expected to develop a good understanding of Insent’s business objectives and product positioning.

As a Technical Writer at Insent, a day in life you will 💭

• Understand product features and create docs for new features.
• Collaborate with the founders and the customer success team to educate customers by putting together FAQs, as part of the knowledge base
• Collaborate with engineering managers to create important technical documents that have to be exposed to customers, such as API or Technical documentation.
• Collaborate with the sales team to create internal documentation to enable Insent’s sales and GTM motions.
• Extend and grow Insent’s knowledge base and improve SEO for documentation through high-quality articles and the right search keywords.
• Work with the marketing team to identify the right positioning for product features in the market through Product emails and Blog posts.
• Own Insent’s knowledge base efforts and be a documentation champion within Insent.

Job Location 📍
We expect you to work out of our India office in Chennai and alongside our team after the COVID situation settles. You can work remotely on an occasional basis once the COVID situation abates and normalcy resumes.

Expected Experience 🔮

• 1+ yrs of hands-on experience in technical/content writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail (mandatory)
• Experience in creating knowledge base articles and help documents in a SaaS startup
• Ability to write for both business and technical audiences.
• Inclination to be hands-on with the product and write detailed help documents
• Exposure to creating API documentation.
• Self-starter who can work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Experience in creating and curating explainer videos through tools like Loom.
• Exposure to working with content management systems like HubSpot
• Prior experience in a B2B SaaS startup is an added advantage.
• Should have the motivation and confidence to take ownership of the work, lead, and grow the technical writing team of Insent
