First Media is a millennial focused media company and one of the top 10 publishers on Facebook, with 1.6 billion monthly views and 120M+ fans on social media. We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Business Insights team. You will be responsible for reporting actionable insights related to our paid media campaigns. This position is located in Los Angeles and is a full-time, on-site role. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing, data-driven video company operating across lifestyle verticals including food, health, beauty, parenting, home and entertainment.
Responsibilities
Analyze campaign and customer data to provide conclusions, implications, and actionable recommendations designed to improve the quality of future relationship marketing communications
Responsible for day-to-day analytics for assigned business units, including QA of data and reporting templates
Develop and present ongoing analytics deliverables to day-to-day clients coordinating with more senior analytics team members and account management
Support team leads on any internal projects to further develop the analytics practice including implementation of analytical tools, techniques, processes, and frameworks
Proficiency in at least one or more of the analytics disciplines
Basic understanding of concepts in at least one or more of the analytics disciplines
The ideal candidate has
3+ years in a data-intensive role with growing responsibility to own and deliver high quality projects
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, Master’s degree preferred (or equivalent training and experience)
Experience in a media or digital publishing company preferred but not required
Sound knowledge of analytical and statistical methods
Expert in SQL and experience working with large relational databases in a business setting
Proficiency with Python (required: NumPy, pandas, Plotly or another visualization library; bonus points for scikit-learn, Dash)
Experience with Tableau is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Analytically minded with the ability to understand the true business needs behind requests
Curious, motivated, self-starter, team player
Passion about conducting insightful data analysis
