Recruiter (Part-Time ~10 hrs/wk)

Come in on the ground floor of a high growth startup. Promotable is launching its new Live-Online Data Science Accelerator in Partnership with 1871 in Chicago and we want you to help us! You will be in charge of career support and a core early team member.

*About the Promotable Data Science Accelerator:

Our 3 month Data Accelerator will invest in our students success. There is a low upfront fee + an Income Share Agreement ensuring that we only get paid when our students are successful.

To ensure that we do that, we are building a robust program that is unmatched by other courses.

1) We have recruited top practitioner instructors from industry (Current Data Science Leads or higher),

2) Recruited industry mentors so that each student has their own "board of advisers" that can guide them after the course is completed, make introductions, tell them what additional skills they should be learning, and more

3) Partnered with 1871 to bring the resources of the country's top incubator (mentors, recruiting support, networking, events, etc) for each student

4) Created industry level projects to build robus student portfolios

5) Recruiting/Career Support: Unlike most bootcamps, we don't treat this as a throw away. We start this from day 1. This is where you'll come in.

• You are a current or previous recruiter or technical recruiter with deep connections in Chicago tech.
• You want to help position graduates from Promotable's Immersive Data Science course for success during their search for their first full time data science opportunity.
• You want to help build something and help create the backbone for Chicago's Data Science training ecosystem
• You think you can do it better than how it has been done.
• You want to help companies get more from their tech recruiting pipelines

*What You'll Do:

At Promotable you will build and integrate our career development program so that our graduates are prepared to start interviewing before they've even completed the course. More importantly, you'll be advising the next generation of data science talent and working with our industry partners to ensure we meet their hiring and skill gap needs. Below you'll find some of what you'll do, we think resumes and interviews are just the start.

1) Work 1:1 with students

• resume support
• non-technical interview prep
• elevator pitch

2) Work with companies:

• understand their skill gaps in junior data science roles
• secure industry partners to work with students for internship or final projects (no cost to employer)

3) Other stuff

• secure guest speakers
• optimize the mentor program
• create networking opportunities for students throught the program, not only after they've completed the data science course work.

4) Anything else? You'll have the opportunity to take initiative, make suggestions, and have the freedom to build the program the way you think it should be done.

*Expectations:

We expect this to be a role that you can initially take on in addition to your full time role and take about 10 hours per week (Starting in March when we launch). Most of the student work can be after normal work hours.

Compensation

You will be paid a compensation including a small base per cohort, percentage of income share agreement, and co-founder level equity for the right candidate. All early core team members compensation is directly tied to income share agreement revenue. This is to ensure alignment of incentives with the company and students.
