Tech lead

We are looking for a team lead who is dedicated to his craft, writes code that is proud of and can hit the ground running. Who provides direction, instructions and guidance to a team, Provide guidance to the team based on management direction.

You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

Responsibilities

The list of responsibilities is something you create as you go, but here are the core ones:

• Write “clean”, well designed code
• Come up with innovative solutions to the hurdles that confront us on a day-to-day basis.
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow industry best practices
• Develop the architecturally significant components of the software system and/or interfaces.
• Collaborate with business/PM on product requirement and ensure the developers understand the big picture from technical stand points Aptitude and desire for training up on new skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Extensive experience with all aspects of the LAMP (Linux, Nginx, MySql, PHP), CSS 3, HTML 5, jQuery, JSON, SQL, XML, PHP, Javascript and open source development.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and coding in MVC pattern.
• Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and strong verbal and presentation skills.
• Maintaining a productive working environment for development team.
• Know the status of the developer’s work and detect slippage.
• Communicate technical issues/decisions effectively to PM and Sponsor by using business terms.

Good to have

• Experience with Front-end frameworks – React or Vue.js is a plus
• Knowledge of any of the PHP Framework would be additional.
• Experience with Cloud-based deployment is a plus
